BIOSELENA’s advisory service offers specialized consultations in the following areas:

  • Planning and transition of crop and livestock farms to organic production
  •  Preparation of a transition plan, crop rotation planning, fertilization plan. Keeping field records, communication with the control body
  • Herd planning and management, adaptation of animal buildings, pasture management, and feed balance planning
  •  Keeping records and journals at the livestock farm, communication with the control body
  • Accompanying the farmer during inspections
  •  Ongoing advice related to production throughout the year
  • Preparing applications for support under interventions to support organic production (crop production, livestock farming, beekeeping)
  • Assistance in preparing products for the market, contacts with customers
  • Preparation of a processing plant for organic certification – work plan, separation of organic processing by time or place, separation and designation of storage areas for raw materials and finished products
  • Specifying recipes, communicating with the control body, keeping records and logs, accompanying during inspections
  • Consultations on planning and building/equipping a facility for processing animal products on the farm in accordance with Regulation 26
  •  Preparing documents for the registration of a facility under Regulation 26 with the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency
  •  Keeping records, logs, and sales reports, self-control plan, preparing commercial documents
  •  Preparing the farm/processing facility for inclusion in short supply chains: participation in farmers’ markets, address deliveries, group sales
  •  Consultations on the introduction of innovative solutions for farm production, product preparation, processing, packaging, marketing.

Consultations are individual and must be booked in advance. Consultations are paid at a price agreed in advance. Transportation costs to the farm are also paid. For farms and enterprises with which we work and which are included in projects for the introduction and testing of innovations and development, the costs of consultations are covered in part or in full by the projects. For regularly recurring consultations, we can also offer a subscription service with a monthly fee.
